L'oreal Lash Paradise Mascara *REVIEW, TRY ON, & COMPARISON*
This summer all eyes are on L'Oreal's latest mascara, the Voluminous Lash Paradise, and for good reason. The stunning rose gold packaging and big promises of gorgeous lashes draw buyers into what could be the most raved about mascara at the drugstore.
Beauty gurus and YouTubers, like Tati from GlamLifeGuru, are calling the Lash Paradise their new holy grail mascara. In fact, the first several times that I tried to purchase this mascara, they were all sold out, adding to the excitement and anticipation. But is it really worth the hype? Mascara and lashes are very personal. What might be a star product for someone with different lashes and preferences, could be a dud for me. That's why I decided to test out the Lash Paradise for myself and compare it to some of L'Oreal's other OG mascaras. This will give you guys an idea of how the Lash Paradise stands up our timeless L'Oreal favorites.
The Lash Paradise has a brush shape and formula that are eerily similar to the Too Faced BTS mascara. Even the packaging is almost identical. However, the Lash Paradise has a drier formula than BTS. So if you like the wetter formula of the Too Faced Mascara then you may not like L'Oreal's. The description claims that this is L'Oreal's first mascara for voluptuous volume and length. It also claims to have even more black pigments. The brush has 200+ soft wavy bristles to catch every lash for a full fringe.
With the super high ratings that this mascara is getting, I was hoping for a life changing mascara that rocks my world. I love the brush on this wand. It makes application super easy and effortless. The brush allows me to coat each lash hair with minimal clumping, and leaves my lashes with a fluttery wispy look. I think this mascara delivers pretty well on volume and length. However, I don't think it delivers on pigment, which really sucks because I love a super inky black mascara and I had high hopes for this formula. The Lash Paradise has great staying power, and holds up well throughout the day. It doesn't flake or smudge which is a huge plus. BUT it is super hard to remove. It takes a lot of time and effort to get this formula off your lashes.
The L'Oreal Voluminous Original Mascara in Carbon Black is a cult favorite. The mascara promises to deliver bold volume and 5x fuller lashes. The soft brush builds volume and separates the lashes while adding length.
I love how black this mascara is. It really makes my lashes POP and it's perfect for a night time or dramatic look. The brush allows me to really build up my lashes, making them long and fluffy. It's never clumpy and the formula is the perfect consistency between wet and dry, giving me enough time to work with the formula before it dries down on my lashes. This mascara has incredible stay power, but is also super easy to remove with a makeup wipe or cleanser. I would definitely give this mascara a 4.5/5 rating. It's so good!
L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes mascara does just what it says. It makes you look like you have a million lashes. The rubber brush has so many bristles to separate and coat each individual lash. This mascara adds a great amount of length and volume while making you look like you have SO many lashes! This mascara tends to smudge on me a little, but it's easy to remove and I love how black and inky the color is. This mascara helps create a very soft and fluttery look. This mascara is a solid 4/5 for me!
Final Thoughts: The Lash Paradise is definitely a good mascara, and I don't regret purchasing it. It gives good volume and length, with minimum clumping. It's definitely a solid choice if you're looking for a good voluminous mascara or a drugstore dupe for Too Faced BTS. But is it worth the hype? No. I prefer both of the other L'Oreal mascaras to the Lash Paradise. It just doesn't give me the same amount of volume, length, and color as the other two. I also think that it's a little difficult to get a super dramatic look from the Lash Paradise without clumping. Overall I would give the Voluminous Lash Paradise a 3.8/5 rating.
